ANDERSON COUNTY Anderson County aheriff's deputies are investigating another armed robbery after two men confronted a 46-year-old clerk a few minutes after midnight Wednesday in Piedmont.
Two masked men wearing gloves entered the Shell station at 2501 River Road, and one of the men pointed a pistol at the woman, demanding money, according to the police report.
The armed robbers reportedly fled on foot, according to deputies.
No one was injured, and an undisclosed amount of money was taken, according to the report states.
No other information is immediately available, but it is the county's third unsolved armed robbery in seven days.
Between 8 p.m. Nov. 12 and 9 p.m. Nov. 13, gunshots rang out during armed robberies at businesses in Sandy Springs and Anderson.
Two armed robbers fired weapons before stealing $645 around 9 p.m. Nov. 13 from a Dollar General store on East River Street near Anderson. No one was injured.
According to the incident report, one robber fired a weapon after confronting a 29-year-old woman and a 45-year-old woman in the store's parking lot. When joined by a second robber, a second shot was fired as the women were ordered into the store where money was taken from a safe, the report states.
About 8 p.m. Nov. 19 in Sandy Springs, the owner of the Corner Stop convenience store startled an armed robber when the owner pulled a pistol, firing once into the store's roof and again into the ground outside the store.
Deputies have not said if the robberies are related. Investigations are under way, but no arrests had been made as of Thursday afternoon.

you're an idiot. maybe you should apply if you think you could do a better job. you shouldn't criticize people for doing a job that you are afraid to do. truth be known, your job goes something like this, "pull up to the next window please"
Too bad the guy didn't shoot straight out and do this scum-of-the-earth in. Why in the world did the guy shoot up and down? I just don't get it, this told the robber that he isn't really going to do anything. Next time the low-down scumbag will have a gun and shoot him first.

I totally don't get the idea of firing warning shots in the air etc. I am about the pro-gun pro - right to self defense person you will ever encounter, however.. If the situation warrants me presenting my weapon, the situation warrants me using my weapon. Besides that shots fired into the air will fall eventually and could potentially harm a by stander.
